How We Work:

We work closely with you, our client, to create a product that reflects your unique and authentic voice. Whatever your needs are, we will be there to support and encourage you every step of the way. We promise that you will receive a piece of writing that is beautifully written and professionally delivered.

The memoir packages start with a consultation with both Sas and Cat as we get to know you and understand the story you want to tell.

Then, you will receive a few questions to ponder - to help jump-start the process. We will then schedule interviews with you and whomever else you think should be included. Between interviews, you can collect photos, memorabilia, newspaper cuttings, old letters or whatever else will help jog your memory or bring things to life. You can share these with us - anything that may help us build a picture of your story’s key players and events.

We will also be working hard on the sidelines researching the time and place where your story unfolded and sourcing other interesting facts that help put your story in context. Once we have gathered all the information, the writing begins, and you can sit back and relax.

We will send the opening chapter for you to review and then before you know it you have a finished manuscript which you can read through and send any edits or changes to fix. We will be in touch with you, throughout the whole process - updating you on progress and asking questions if needed. Once you have approved the final draft, we will send the final document to you. It is then yours to use however you see fit.

The whole process is transformative and can be very emotional. Looking back into the past can often reawaken memories and feelings that you thought you had forgotten. But, once you have experience this process first hand, you will be amazed at the healing and peace it brings. We guarantee that your story will impact the lives of others.

What Sets Us Apart:

All of our projects begin with a conversation, either video or audio. We will chat about what your needs and wishes are and how we can work towards achieving them (we promise we are easy people to talk to who love nothing more than helping people achieve their goals). Once we have set up a timeline and plan of attack, the work begins. As simple as that.

    The basic package is best suited to writing about a particular and concentrated period from your life. This could be an experience travelling or studying, a story of overcoming adversity, overcoming an illness, memories from childhood or the story of a place or building.

    The signature memoir is for those who have a story to tell that needs a more in-depth approach. Interview hours can be split between multiple people and different perspectives on the story included. The time frame is perhaps extended over a few years giving the reader deeper insight into the story. More photos bring the story to life visually.

    This package is for those who have a novel length story to tell. There are many angles, milestones and adventures to write about and include in evocative prose. Tell your family history, the story of your life or career, or a story of change and triumph. Include the voices of family members or have one of them interview you. We will tailor make the package to what works best for your project.

  • We are comfortable with most topics. However, if there are ethical or moral concerns we will communicate this with you.

  • We work very hard to try and capture your voice so that we can tell your story in a narrative that feels comfortable and reflective of your personality.

  • We use pictures, newspaper and magazine articles, online research tools and interviews to gather data. 

  • No, but we can point you in the right direction.

  • Yes, we will allocate a maximum of 12 months to complete your project.

  • Yes, but if need be we can arrange translation services. 

  • Yes, we will share these with you in the google drive.

  • We can discuss your desired format, but it is usually a PDF or word document.

  • No, we don't. But we can put you in touch with someone who can.

  • We will let you guide us on how best to navigate topics that are sensitive. We recommend that you have a support system in place before embarking on the transformative journey of writing your memoir, especially if there are sensitive topics to cover.
